Easter festivities are hopping into Aubin Grove this Saturday with the return of the annual Easter Fair, complete with live music, twilight markets and a special visit from a fluffy friend.<\/p>\n

For the third year in a row, the city of Cockburn will join forces with Aubin Grove Community Association\u2019s twilight market to deliver a haul of roving entertainment and Easter activities.<\/p>\n

The free event will spread across Aubin Grove Reserve from 3pm to 7pm this Easter Saturday.<\/p>\n

Aubin Grove Community Association President Geoff Webb said they were expecting more than 6000 visitors based on previous years\u2019 success.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody is still talking about last year\u2019s huge event and asking if we are going ahead again. It was absolutely brilliant in 2025 and we\u2019re busily preparing for an even bigger and better fair,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Families will be able to get involved with Easter crafts, face painting, inflatable slides and obstacle courses, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The Jandakot volunteer bushfire brigade will provide demonstrations to entertain the crowds.<\/p>\n

This will all be soundtracked by a performance from 2025 WA country music awards female artist of the year Claudia Tripp.<\/p>\n

There will also be a selection of food vendors dishing up, from handmade spring rolls to freshly dusted donuts.<\/p>\n

Several local stalls will feature as part of the AGCA twilight markets, including hand crafted soaps, gift engraving and dragon roast coffee.<\/p>\n

Mr Webb said the market\u2019s partnership with the city supported AGCA\u2019s environmental and community projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a great partnership with the city of Cockburn to stage this large event which helps our market raise more funds to continue funding projects that improve the local environment,\u201d Mr Webb said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt allows us to continue investing in equipment to help us rehabilitate parts of Banksia Woodland Reserve, particularly weeding and hopefully some planting out this winter.\u201c<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve completed projects at various Aubin Grove parklands, including installing a purple bench with the centre for women\u2019s safety and wellbeing, revegetation efforts including planting more trees, and upgrading barbecue and shade areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event is also carbon neutral, with the city of Cockburn offsetting any emissions released by the event through investing in native tree planting and permanently cancelling international carbon credits.<\/p>\n

Cockburn mayor Logan Howlett said the event was important for the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur community comes out in force to support the city\u2019s events, which are part of the extensively varied and popular 2025-2026 Cockburn LIVE program,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
