Cody Peck, a four-star recruit in the 2026 class, announced his commitment to the Dayton Flyers on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Eric Bossi, of 247Sports.com<\/a>, first reported the news. Peck, a 6-foot-10 senior center from the Davidson Day School in Davidson, N.C., becomes the third high school senior in Dayton\u2019s 2026 recruiting class.<\/p>\n \u201cCoach (Anthony) Grant and coach (James) Kane have known me my whole life and have put in an extensive effort to recruit me,\u201d Peck told Bossi.<\/a><\/p>\n Peck visited Dayton in August 2025. He received a scholarship offer from Dayton in July 2024.<\/p>\n Peck ranks 82nd in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports.com<\/a>. He’s No. 99 in the ESPN 100. He’s No. 96 in the On3.com<\/a> rankings.<\/p>\n Peck picked Dayton over Creighton, Tennessee, and the Miami Hurricanes. He listed those three schools, along with Dayton, in his final four choices in February.<\/p>\n Peck played his first two seasons at Carmel Christian School in Matthews, N.C. He played his junior season at IMG Academy in Florida. He announced in July 2025 he would return home to Charlotte, N.C., for his senior year and attend Davidson Day School.<\/p>\n Peck’s dad, Michael Peck, played at Marshall from 1991-95. Dayton coach Anthony Grant was an assistant coach at Marshall from 1994-96.<\/p>\n There\u2019s another connection between the Dayton coaches and the Peck family. Peck\u2019s aunt, Carolyn Peck, Michael\u2019s sister, was an assistant women\u2019s basketball coach at Florida from 2002-07. Grant was an assistant coach for the Florida men\u2019s team at the same time, and James Kane, a Dayton assistant, was a student at Florida then.<\/p>\n
