Former Marc Marquez rival Andrea Dovizioso believes the reigning MotoGP champion\u2019s physical situation is \u201cmore serious than it seems\u201d.<\/p>\n
The factory Ducati<\/a> rider suffered a complex shoulder injury last October at the Indonesian Grand Prix, which ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign.<\/p>\n Marc Marquez<\/a> still isn\u2019t 100% fit, admitting during the recent United States Grand Prix that \u201cthe bike is critical, but so am I\u201d.<\/a><\/p>\n He is yet to score a grand prix podium in 2026, though does have a sprint win and a further sprint podium to his credit from the first three rounds.<\/p>\n Ducati, in general, appears a step behind Aprilia, who has won all three grands prix so far.<\/p>\n Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n However, in an interview with Italy\u2019s Moto.it, Dovizioso is convinced Marquez is struggling more than it seems.<\/p>\n \u201cMarc is not a rider who complains and has never made excuses,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cSo, the truth about how he\u2019s doing and how many problems he has, especially for those who don\u2019t support him, has never been valued much.<\/p>\n \u201cBut his situation, in my opinion, is much more serious than it seems.<\/p>\n \u201cLast year, he managed to win the championship. I couldn\u2019t tell you what percentage, but he certainly wasn\u2019t at 100%.<\/p>\n Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n \u201cHe still has a lot of physical improvements to do.
