Nike Studios, a chain of Nike-branded boutique fitness studios, has stopped operating, with most locations set to reopen under FitLab\u2019s other boutique fitness brands<\/p>\n
Nike Studios, the boutique fitness concept the footwear giant launched in 2023 alongside FitLab, has shuttered or suspended operations across all of its locations in Texas and California, according to widespread social media posts from members<\/a> and trainers<\/a>.<\/p>\n FitLab co-founder and co-CEO Brian Kirkbride confirmed the transition in a statement to Athletech News.<\/p>\n \u201cAfter careful consideration, the majority of the Nike Studios locations will be transitioning to FitLab\u2019s owned portfolio of fitness brands,\u201d Kirkbride said, citing yoga brand Y7<\/a>, small-group\u00a0strength training\u00a0brand Racked, Mile High Run Club<\/a> and XPT, a performance wellness brand founded by Laird Hamilton and Gabby Reece, as the receiving brands.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are excited about what this evolution means for our communities and look forward to sharing more as these locations come to life in the very near future.\u201d<\/p>\n Former Nike Studios web addresses now redirect to Nike\u2019s main website.<\/p>\n The Irvine, California, location \u2014 one of nearly a dozen across the two states\u2014 held its final classes March 27, according to a closure email the studio sent to members.\u00a0<\/p>\n The email was then shared\u00a0in Irvine\u2019s Reddit community.<\/p>\n In the same thread, a commenter who identified themselves as a Nike Strength member in Austin, Texas, said they had also been notified their studio was closing.<\/p>\n
