\u201cI had to be tan and that was a four-month shoot where I was damn near naked the whole time,\u201d she told Elle.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe only way to be confident then when shooting,\u201d she added, \u201cwas to spray it, and do body makeup. But I also didn\u2019t want it to be too orange, so I had to have a base tan. It was all thought out.\u201d<\/p>\n
Though Simpson calls herself a \u201cborn-and-bred Texan sun lover\u201d whose \u201cbuns were always tan\u201d while growing up, she clarifies that she\u2019s changed her tune when it comes to sun health.<\/p>\n
\u201cNowadays, I spray my kids when they go down to the park and am always putting it on myself too \u2026 I definitely turned it around not just because of ageing, but because there are lots of hazards to it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Amid her separation of husband Eric Johnson (with whom she shares three children), Simpson has reportedly started dating musician Thomas Eisenhood.<\/p>\n
