Lewis Hamilton<\/a> has clarified that he has not been issuing \u201corders\u201d to Ferrari with the documents he has been sending to the team across the 2025 Formula 1 <\/a>season.<\/p>\n

Hamilton created headlines in the lead-up to last month\u2019s Belgian Grand Prix when he disclosed he has been handing reports to Ferrari about potential improvements<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Briton\u2019s revelation came as he stated that he is determined to guarantee that his time with Ferrari doesn\u2019t conclude without a championship like his predecessors.<\/p>\n

Hamilton has endured a gruelling debut campaign with the Italian marque as he has struggled to adapt to a troubled SF-25 car that was constructed without his input.<\/p>\n

That has provoked Hamilton to engage in several meetings with Ferrari\u2019s senior leaders to ensure that the team\u2019s 2026 challenger contains his desired characteristics.<\/p>\n

But while that has included addressing the pointers that he has raised, Hamilton refuted any notion that he is attempting to call the shots behind the scenes at Ferrari.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were no orders in it,\u201d Hamilton told media including Motorsport Week.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just ideas like, \u2018Hey, if we did this, have we tried this? If we did this, perhaps we can ease up certain areas or we can be better.\u2019 <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just about having conversations. Fred [Vasseur, Ferrari Team Principal], as I said, as a team, has been really responsive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Charles Leclerc has reiterated that he and Hamilton hold an equal involvement in Ferrari\u2019s design direction, despite their alternative approaches to providing feedback.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m of course involved,\u201d the Monegasque said. \u201cI\u2019m not creating documents on my side, but I\u2019m definitely having meetings whenever I\u2019m back in Maranello with the team to know what is the next thing we want to tackle as a team. <\/p>\n

\u201cEvery single driver has their way of feeding back the team. I have my way, which is different compared to Lewis, but that doesn\u2019t mean I\u2019m left out. I\u2019m definitely involved in the process.\u201d<\/p>\n
