That’s a saving of around $5,500 when on-road costs are added onto the MY26 car, with driveaway prices coming in around $52,550 in Victoria.

There is also a similar offer on for the more popular EV5, where the Air SR variant is priced from $49,990 driveaway, helping buyers save thousands of dollars if picking a MY25 vehicle.

In March 2025, just over a year ago, Kia announced the pricing and specifications of the Kia EV3, which at the time was its smallest electric SUV. The Air Standard Range variant started at $47,600 before on-roads, and came with the boxier designs of the top-selling EV5 and the seven-seater EV9.

The Air Standard Range variant is equipped with a 58.3 kWh battery pack delivering 436 km of WLTP range and is powered by a front-mounted motor which packs 150 kW of power and peak torque of 283 Nm.

It sits on Kia’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) 400 V architecture and with that front-wheel-drive powertrain, helps the EV3 accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds.

Along with that, it also offers Vehicle to Load (V2L) capabilities, allowing drivers to power devices when on the go.

Image: Riz Akhtar

On the inside, the cabin has lots of good storage spaces in the centre console, which the brand says can be used to store drinks, snacks, laptops and small bags.

The boot also has 460 litres of storage, which, according to Kia, is the largest boot space in its class.

For the driver, the centre console offers two 12.3-inch screens. One is the infotainment screen in the middle, while the other is behind the steering wheel that shows driving information.

On the safety front, the Kia EV3 comes with a few safety features in its suite, including Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) features such as:

eDTVC Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control: to ensure the EV3 transfers its power to the road smoothly and stably
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
Lane Keeping Assist
Highway Driving Assist
Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist

The current driveaway offer ends on 30 April 2026. These cars must be purchased and delivered between 1 April and 30 April 2026 and are only available on new MY25 stock.

Given the current demand for EVs and this driveaway deal, Kia wouldn’t have any issues in selling any existing stock. We will keep an eye out for how it tracks in March and April sales data in the weeks to follow.

Kia EV3 Lineup Specs

Model
EV3

Air

Standard Range

EV3

Air

Long Range

EV3

Earth

Long Range

EV3

GT-Line

Long Range

Battery
58.3 kWh
81.4 kWh

Powertrain
2WD Single Motor

Power/Torque
150 kW / 283 Nm

Wheels
17” Alloy
19” Alloy
19” Alloy (GT-Line Design)

WLTP Range
436 km
604 km
563 km

RRP
$47,600
$53,315
$58,600
$63,950

Riz is the founder of carloop based in Melbourne, specialising in Australian EV data, insight reports and trends.
