{"id":585476,"date":"2026-04-04T18:17:24","date_gmt":"2026-04-04T18:17:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/585476\/"},"modified":"2026-04-04T18:17:24","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T18:17:24","slug":"new-deal-locks-in-bathurst-6-hour-future-through-at-least-2031","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/585476\/","title":{"rendered":"New deal locks in Bathurst 6 Hour future through at least 2031"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THE Bathurst 6 Hour is here to stay.<\/p>\n<p>A new five-year deal has been struck to keep the annual Easter production car enduro at the Mountain until at least 2031.<\/p>\n<p>This weekend\u2019s event marks the 10th edition of the Bathurst 6 Hour.<\/p>\n<p>It debuted in 2016, with victory on that occasion going to the BMW 335i-shod duo of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.v8sleuth.com.au\/stats-driver-330-Chaz-Mostert\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Chaz Mostert<\/a> and Nathan Morcom.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/superstore.v8sleuth.com.au\/products\/v8-sleuth-magazine-issue-3?utm_source=SRBuyButton&amp;utm_medium=website\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/v8sleuth-mag-issue3_1024x1024.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>BMW remains undefeated in an outright capacity to this day.<\/p>\n<p>Up to five motorsport events are permitted each year at Mount Panorama, of which four slots are currently occupied: the 1000, the 12 Hour, the 6 Hour, and Challenge Bathurst.<\/p>\n<p>Promotion of the 6 Hour switched from James O\u2019Brien to the Australian Racing Group in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Former ARG supremo Barry Rogers nowadays privately runs the event in conjunction with Liam Curkpatrick and Sally Parkinson.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"THE Bathurst 6 Hour is here to stay.
