Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury years in the making<\/p>\n
Joshua and Fury are two of the best heavyweight boxers of this generation, having both won multiple titles throughout their careers. While both men have battled much of the top opposition available, they have somehow managed to avoid fighting each other. Fans will surely be glad if that finally changes this year, even if it would have been preferable to see it a few years ago, when both were closer to their primes.<\/p>\n
Fury, known for his surprising agility, range, and technique, has not fought since a pair of decision losses to heavyweight apex predator Oleksandr Usyk in 2024. He announced his retirement following those losses, but as with his many previous retirement claims, it was short-lived. He\u2019s now set to return to the ring opposite Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11. The fight will air on Netflix.<\/p>\n
Joshua, a devastating knockout puncher, last fought in December, also on Netflix. On that night, he scored a brutal knockout win over social media transplant Jake Paul. While technically a professional bout, he was so many levels above Paul that it hardly felt like a legitimate fight.
