Last month, the 29-year-old actress celebrated her impending new arrival with 30 of her closest female friends and family members at a backyard baby shower.<\/p>\n
Hailee \u2013 who married Josh last year \u2013 wrote on her Substack: \u201cOn a sunny Saturday in LA, my mom and about 30 women I love so much gathered in my most comfortable place \u2013 my backyard \u2013 for a baby shower. My mom planned the entire gorgeous thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hailee explained that there was \u201cno baby shower theme, per se, but a subtle nursery rhyme thread was woven throughout the decor\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Sinners star also noted that nursery books were scattered \u201ceverywhere\u201d.<\/p>\n
Hailee said: \u201cEveryone brought a book, so this baby is building quite the little library.\u201d<\/p>\n
What\u2019s more, Hailee\u2019s mother even installed a knitting station for her guests, so they could create something special for her baby.<\/p>\n
She added: \u201cIt\u2019s a very full-circle moment for me because my mom took up knitting when I made my first movie. She was sitting in a trailer all day and needed something to do. It was Sudoku or knitting, and she chose the latter. Our family would joke that she was going to knit the red carpet because she didn\u2019t stop.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe taught me how to knit way back when. I can\u2019t really cast on or off, but I was able to knit a square to put on this baby\u2019s blanket. I feel like I reopened a fun hobby.\u201d<\/p>\n
Hailee and Josh tied the knot in May 2025 and the actress previously admitted she feels very lucky to have him in her life.<\/p>\n
In a previous newsletter, Hailee gushed: \u201cI literally thank God every day that I found my person, and it\u2019s the greatest thing in the world. Life makes sense. Everything makes sense.
