Emmerdale spoilers<\/a> follow for next week.<\/p>\n

Emmerdale is set to air another twist in the Dr Todd storyline<\/a>, as Jacob Gallagher gains a new ally in his ordeal against the hospital bully.<\/p>\n

ITV has released a preview clip from the Thursday, 9 April episode, which sees the youngster’s boss confronting him in the corridor yet again.<\/p>\n

“You didn’t think”, she tells him in a condescending tone. “You’re a fourth-year medical student, for heaven’s sake. For once in your life, try and behave like one.”<\/p>\n

The conversation is overheard by Kerry Wyatt, who goes up to Dr Todd at the reception desk to hand over Jacob’s lunch that he forgot, and uses the opportunity to try and get Todd to back off.<\/p>\n

“Jacob’s actually really stressed after work yesterday<\/a>, probably shouldn’t be in work today”, she explains, to which Todd replies to state she’s told Jacob to “take things easy”.<\/p>\n

“Oh have you?” Kerry quickly responds. “‘Cause it didn’t sound like that just then. The way you just spoke to him. You think because you’ve got a few letters after your name you can treat him like your own personal punchbag.”<\/p>\n

Todd tries to paint it all as a “misunderstanding”, but Kerry isn’t having any of it.<\/p>\n

“I know exactly what’s going on here. And if you’re looking for a fight, you’ve met your match.”<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, it looks like well-meaning Kerry might only be making things worse for Jacob.<\/p>\n

“Kerry is determined to stand up to Todd, but the scary doc hits back,” our Emmerdale source said. “She justifies her behaviour by reeling off all the mistakes Jacob has made during his placement, and Kerry walks away fearing that she has only added fuel to the fire\u2026”<\/p>\n

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX<\/a>.<\/p>\n
