Kate Beckinsale called out Mark Ruffalo after being dropped by their mutual agent for \u201cliking\u201d a post about a ceasefire in Gaza.<\/p>\n
\u201cGosh, it must be so nice not to be fired by your Agent for liking a post about a ceasefire and not supporting the murdering of children,\u201d Beckinsale wrote in a series of Instagram comments on Friday that have since been deleted, per Entertainment Weekly<\/a>.<\/p>\n The \u201cUnderworld\u201d actress left her remarks under Ruffalo\u2019s post promoting<\/a> the new film, \u201cPalestine 36.\u201d <\/p>\n Kate Beckinsale (pictured above at Elton John AIDS Foundation\u2019s 34th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party in March) called out Mark Ruffalo via Instagram on Friday, claiming he benefits from \u201chaving a penis\u201d in Hollywood. Admedia Photo \/ SplashNews.com<\/p>\n Beckinsale shared the comment as she responded to Ruffalo\u2019s post promoting the new film \u201cPalestine 36.\u201d Anthony Harvey \/ Shutterstock<\/p>\n \u201cI guess having a penis in Hollywood really counts for a lot because you\u2019ve not been fired by the same Agent that I had and she sent me a gift the week before so we didn\u2019t have any beef, but I liked a post about a ceasefire and I\u2019ve got fired on the same day as Susan Sarandon was fired, two days after the end of the strike after nine months of none of us being able to work at all,\u201d Beckinsale alleged, referring to the Screen Actors Guild strike that lasted from July to November 2023.<\/p>\n The \u201cVan Helsing\u201d star continued, bringing up the deaths of her mother<\/a>, Judy Loe, and her stepfather<\/a>, Roy Battersby, as she explained her emotional state at the time of her firing.<\/p>\n \u201cI was dealing with the fact that on top of my mother having been told she had six weeks to live with brain cancer, and being [a] carer for both of them, the day before my stepfather had had a catastrophic stroke on top of two types of cancer,\u201d the actress noted.<\/p>\n Beckinsale (pictured here at MPTF\u2019s 2026 Annual Night Before) continued, calling out the double standard in the entertainment industry as she alleged she was fired by their mutual agent for \u201cliking\u201d a post about a ceasefire in Gaza.
