British heavyweight favorite Derek Chisora has not announced his retirement following a split decision loss last night against Deontay Wilder<\/a>. It was largely expected that Chisora would call it day, following the end to the event titled \u201cThe Last Dance.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a press conference following the loss, Chisora (36-14, 23 KOs) was rather cryptic as to whether he would be retiring after his 50th professional bout.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not over,\u201d Chisora said,\u00a0regarding\u00a0his career at the official\u00a0post-fight\u00a0press conference. \u201cI said\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0over, but it\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0mean\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0going to fight again. I might decide to do something else in boxing.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chisora was pressed again on the future of his career, but he was noncommittal: \u201cI honestly don\u2019t know.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest, I\u2019m tired and I can\u2019t do it anymore,\u201d Chisora explained. \u201cYou know when you know it is time, and\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0time.\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0had\u00a0a great career! I always say, boxing opens doors.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0been amazing.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Away from the\u00a042-year\u00a0old\u2019s retirement plans, Chisora was not impressed with how the fight played out at the sold-out O2 Arena in East London.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, I don\u2019t agree with that,\u201d Chisora said\u00a0regarding\u00a0the scorecards. \u201cThe ropes were very loose. I went into the ropes, he followed me, pushed me and the ref said \u2018break\u2019 and then we broke and I went through the ropes and he started counting. The second time, they took a point [from Wilder], and\u00a0they still started counting me. I\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0understand why?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chisora added: \u201cI won the last round. I\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0know how\u00a0you guys\u00a0scored it?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chisora was in touching distance of a world title fight, being ranked in second position for Oleksandr Usyk\u2019s IBF world title.
