<\/p>\n DENVER \u2013 The No. 71-ranked University of Denver men’s tennis team (12-5, 2-0 Summit) earned its third 7-0 sweep of the season \u2013 and its second in the team’s last three meets \u2013 with its win over Oral Roberts at Denver Tennis Park on Saturday afternoon.

\nPlaying outside for the first time in 2026 at DTP, DU won all nine matches including all three doubles contests and did not drop a set in singles.

\nDoubles:
\nDU claimed all three doubles matches with identical 6-2 scorelines, beginning with graduate student Connor Robb-Wilcox<\/a> and sophomore Theo Coats<\/a> on the top court. They went up a break at 2-1 and added a second break for 5-2 before serving it out in the first match to wrap up.

\nMoments later, senior Ryoma Mishiro<\/a> and sophomore Samuel Rovai<\/a> followed with their own 6-2 at No. 2 doubles and did so in near-identical fashion as Coats\/Robb-Wilcox with breaks in the third and seventh games.

\nWithin a point of their own win, senior Raffaello Papajcik<\/a> and freshman Aaron Beduhn<\/a> were allowed to finish off their match to give DU the clean sweep of the doubles ties. Unlike the top two matches, the No. 3 court saw more breaks than holds, though Beduhn\/Papajcik never trailed and used back-to-back breaks late to go up 5-2 and then served it out.

\nSingles:
\nPapajcik kicked off the singles sweep for DU with his fourth consecutive win and second in a row in two sets from the No. 1 position. He won the match’s first eight games, collecting a bagel set for the second time in his last three matches and going ahead 2-0 in the second set before ORU’s Ricardo Filho got on the board for what would be his only game won on the day. Papajcik rattled off another four in a row to close it out.

\nMishiro dropped back to the No. 5 singles slot and lost only two games to match his fewest dropped in a dual this year. After exchanging breaks to begin play, Mishiro went up a break again for 3-2 and added another break in his next return game, part of a streak of 11 games won between the two sets to finish play.

\nRobb-Wilcox, who moved up to No. 4 singles for the first time since February 21, clinched the dual at 4-0 for DU. In the first set, he used two separate three-game win streaks to take a 6-2 lead. After winning the final three games of the first set, he won another four in a row to begin the second and eventually sealed it with another 6-2 frame.

\nAt No. 3 singles, Coats lost only three total games in what was his 25th singles victory of the 2025-26 season and his second of the dual season with only three games dropped. He jumped out to a fast 5-0 lead on his way to a 6-1 first set. In the second set, he also had a five-game win streak, doing so in the core of the set and going on to serve it out for 6-2.

\nRovai won his third singles match in a row \u2013 each in straight sets from the No. 2 spot. It became his fifth two-set win of the 2026 dual season and his 11th overall.

\nFreshman Beduhn faced the toughest battle of the day but joined his teammates in winning in straight sets. He broke to begin the match and held the advantage until ORU’s Jack Berry broke back for 5-5. Beduhn answered with another break in the next game and successfully served it out on the second attempt. The players flipped roles in the second set with Berry breaking to open it and eventually went up 4-1 before Beduhn began to claw back with a couple breaks of his own, again seeing the set reach 5-5. Each player broke yet again in the final two games, sending things to a tiebreak where Beduhn rallied from a mini-break down to win the final four points coming out of the changeover for a 7-3 win.
