\n\tJack Black<\/a> is back on Saturday Night Live<\/a> \u2014 and he has officially joined the Five-Timers club.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Super Mario Galaxy Movie<\/a> star kicked off his hosting monologue by noting that it was his fifth time hosting the sketch comedy series, before he was joined by a starry lineup of guests who, too, have hosted the show (at least) five times.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI am so thrilled to be back hosting SNL<\/a> for the fifth time. It\u2019s a huge honor to join the Five-Timers club,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m a five-timer!\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tBlack was first joined by his Don\u2019t Worry, He Won\u2019t Get Far on Foot co-star Jonah Hill<\/a>, who sported a Five-Timers robe. \u201cIt is so good to see you. What have you been up to, man?\u201d Black said, to which Hill joked, \u201cWell, I\u2019ve actually been working on Superbad 2!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe two walked through a door to the Five-Timers lounge, which prompted Hill to tell Black, \u201cJack, we need your help. There\u2019s something wrong with the Five-Timers Club. You see what I mean?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYes, you\u2019re right, it feels like there\u2019s evil lurking around every corner,\u201d Black said, before Tina Fey<\/a> popped up. \u201cOh no, it\u2019s just me! It\u2019s just regular Tina Fey,\u201d the 30 Rock star said. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI wanted to congratulate you on a historic night,\u201d she said, before joking, \u201cYou\u2019re officially the first Black in the Five-Timers club.\u201d Black questioned what had become of the club, which Fey explained that \u201cit\u2019s seen better days.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhat started off as a one-off joke in a Tom Hanks monologue has been brought back so many times that it has literally been run into the ground,\u201d Fey said. \u201cFor example, and this is true, this is my fifth Five-Timers club stint.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cA double five-timer \u2014 is that why you\u2019re wearing that special jacket?\u201d the Minecraft Movie actor asked.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNo, this is actually my First-Timer\u2019s jacket from SNL UK,\u201d Fey replied, referencing her becoming the first person to host<\/a> the British iteration. \u201cI think it\u2019s made out of Paddington,\u201d she added, which led to Candice Bergen<\/a>, who is notably the first woman to join SNL\u2018s Five-Timers club, joining in on the fun.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou know, I spent a night with Paddington back in 1700. Let\u2019s just say we found something that he likes way more than marmalade,\u201d Bergen said. \u201cWhat? A bitch can party!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBehind the bar was Melissa McCarthy<\/a>, who replied, \u201cSpeaking of party, does anyone know where I can just get a drink? I can\u2019t find one. All they got is warm cans of John Mulaney\u2019s beer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThose are non-alcoholic, right?\u201d Fey added, to which the Bridesmaids star offered, \u201cNot if you fill them with vodka!\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tJack White<\/a>, who served as the night\u2019s musical guest, also appeared in Black\u2019s monologue. Hill jokingly referred to him as \u201cmy hero, Professor Snape,\u201d to which the Anaconda actor corrected him: \u201cIt\u2019s five-time musical guest and my partner tonight, Jack White!\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tWhite himself joined a different Five-Timers club on Saturday night, with his April 4 appearance marking his fifth time as a solo SNL musical guest. \u201cThank you, but, unfortunately, I have to be going,\u201d he told Black, who jokingly added, \u201cWell, the five-time musical guests only get their parking validated for 15 minutes. So, I have to move my hearse.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cEnough is enough,\u201d Black proclaimed. \u201cIt\u2019s time to fix this place the only way I know how: With the power of rock.\u201d He then launched into a rendition of \u201cSeven Nation Army,\u201d\u00a0the White Stripes (which is made up of Jack and Meg White) track.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019ve got Melissa, Candice Bergen, Jonah Hill and Mrs. Tina Fey, it\u2019s my nightmare blunt rotation, and I think it\u2019s gonna save the day,\u201d Black sang, before being given his own Five-Timers club jacket. \u201cAnd when I put this jacket on, you know, I feel like I am ready to host!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSaturday marked the Super Mario Galaxy Movie star\u2019s landmark fifth time hosting<\/a> the sketch comedy series. He appeared on the show one year prior, almost exactly to the date on April 5, 2025, which was his first time hosting SNL in two decades. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn the cold open, Kenan Thompson portrayed Charles Barkley commentating on March Madness basketball, except he didn\u2019t really comment on basketball at all. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNow, this might get me fired, so I\u2019m gonna choose my words real careful right now,\u201d he started. \u201cLook, there\u2019s a war going on between us and Iran. War is terrible. Innocent people are getting killed. I don\u2019t care who started it, but we need to end it, OK?\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tLater on, Ashley Padilla joined as Pam Bondi, the former Attorney General who was fired by Trump this week. \u201cSo great to be here at the Final Four years\u2026 of this country,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m sorry, Charles, but I can\u2019t let the lies you said about me go unanswered. The truth is, I was amazing at my job, and I am proud to say I made history as the first woman ever to be fired as Attorney General. I shattered that glass exit door.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI miss it already, and they threw my headshot in the trash like it was the Epstein files,\u201d Padilla\u2019s Bondi added. \u201cCome on, what am I gonna do?\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tThe Weekend Update segment later saw Kam Patterson join as Professor Snape from the upcoming HBO Harry Potter television series<\/a> to address backlash to his casting. (Paapa Essiedu, who stars as Snape in the new show, recently revealed<\/a> he\u2019s faced racist death threats for being a Black actor stepping into the role.)<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGood evening, Mr. Jost,\u201d he began, continuing, \u201cNah, I\u2019m playing. I don\u2019t talk like that, bro. It\u2019s called code-switching.\u00a0Codio switchio!\u201d Colin Jost then asked Patterson\u2019s Snape how his year at Hogwarts went, to which he replied, \u201cNot great. We got this new kid, his name is Harry potter, and he\u2019s racist as hell. Harry Potter, or the Proud Boy Who Lived, spent the whole year telling everybody that the school\u2019s only Black teacher was secretly evil.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think he\u2019s just worried because he knows someone\u2019s trying to steal the Sorcerer\u2019s Stone,\u201d Jost replied. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSo somebody stole something, and the number one suspect is Black Snape?\u201d Patterson\u2019s Snape said. \u201cThey didn\u2019t even look at the white guy in the turban. So offensive.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m really sorry that he just jumped to conclusions like that,\u201d Jost replied. \u201cAll good. It happens all the time,\u201d Patterson replied, continuing, \u201cI showed up to Hogwarts, and the first day, they looked at me and said, \u2018You\u2019re the professor of the dark arts.\u2019 I never even studied that, I majored in African Muggle Studies.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe whole wizarding world is racist. There\u2019s\u00a0one\u00a0other Black guy, Kingsley Shacklebolt, a name I\u2019m guessing they got out of the Wu-Tang name generator,\u201d Patterson\u2019s Snape said. \u201cEveryone\u2019s in these dignified robes. They dressed him up like he was selling cocoa butter incense out of a barbershop.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat\u2019s, that\u2019s kind of a cool outfit, right?\u201d Jost asked, and he replied, \u201cYeah, for a Haitian cab driver. And why they got to put shackle in his name? That\u2019s crazy, man.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAlright, yes, well, for the very first time I\u2019m starting to think that J.K. Rowling might be problematic,\u201d Jost added.<\/p>\n

\n\tBad Bunny<\/a>,\u00a0Amy Poehler<\/a>,\u00a0Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>,\u00a0Miles Teller<\/a>,\u00a0Nikki Glaser<\/a>,\u00a0Glen Powell<\/a>,\u00a0Melissa McCarthy<\/a>,\u00a0Josh O\u2019Connor<\/a>,\u00a0Ariana Grande<\/a>,\u00a0Finn Wolfhard<\/a>,\u00a0Teyana Taylor<\/a>,\u00a0Alexander Skarsgard<\/a>,\u00a0Connor Storrie<\/a>\u00a0and Harry Styles<\/a> have also hosted season 51 of\u00a0SNL.<\/p>\n
