Undefeated American sensation Chase \u201cMannimal\u201d Mann<\/a> is back, and this time, the stakes couldn\u2019t be higher.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old Arkansas native headlines ONE Fight Night 42 on Prime Video<\/a>, where he\u2019ll face unbeaten Turkish finisher Dzhabir Dzhabrailov<\/a> in a welterweight MMA clash.<\/p>\n

That event will broadcast live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok\u2019s iconic Lumpinee Stadium this Friday, April 10, and there could be more on the line than just a perfect record.<\/p>\n

Between the duo, they own a combined 13 wins, 11 stoppages, and zero losses. Victory in Bangkok could earn either man a shot at two-division ONE World Champion Christian \u201cThe Warrior\u201d Lee<\/a>\u2018s welterweight belt.<\/p>\n

For Mann, the undefeated-versus-undefeated storyline is a nice detail. However, it isn\u2019t what drives him.<\/p>\n

The powerlifting beast<\/a> explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a cool thing that we\u2019re both undefeated, but I\u2019m not holding on to that. I hear a lot of guys say they\u2019re fighting not to lose, and they\u2019re holding on to it. I\u2019m just fighting to win.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like to go undefeated my whole career, which would be cool. But I\u2019m just here to fight, and this will be an interesting clash between two undefeated guys.\u201d<\/p>\n

To ensure he gets his hand raised, the Arkansas buzzsaw has left no ground uncovered in his preparation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Mann has studied Dzhabrailov closely and arrived at a detailed understanding of exactly what he is walking into.<\/p>\n

The \u201cMannimal\u201d continued:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve watched every fight of his, and he is another killer. He looks like a Muay Thai fighter. He\u2019s got very good skills. He\u2019s got very explosive striking. He usually gets it done in the first round, so I must find a way to use that against him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dzhabrailov\u2019s finishing instincts are well-documented. All three of his ONE Championship victories<\/a> came within the first two minutes. In every one of those battles, he displayed explosiveness, relentlessness, and an obsession to end the night early.<\/p>\n

For most opponents, that kind of forward pressure is an overwhelming force. Mann, however, sees it differently. The aggression that has ended every one of Dzhabrailov\u2019s opponents is, in his view, a double-edged sword.<\/p>\n

Mann explained:<\/p>\n

\u201cA skill like that, just forward pressure and aggression, can also be a weakness. You\u2019ve got to fight everybody a little differently. Obviously, you use your strengths, but I think it could turn out to be a weakness in this one.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe loves coming forward and lets his hands fly. I like to come forward, pick people up, slam them, and hit them on the ground. So, I guess we\u2019ll find out what he\u2019ll do. It\u2019s gonna be fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fun is one word for it. After all, they are two unbeaten wrecking machines known to produce mayhem every time they step into the ring.<\/p>\n

Between them, one spotless record survives on April 10, and Mann has already mapped out exactly how. When asked for his prediction, the answer arrived without hesitation.<\/p>\n

He warned:<\/p>\n

\u201cSomebody\u2019s getting finished. It\u2019s not going to a decision. It might take two, or it might take three [rounds]. But I think I\u2019ll submit him halfway through the third round.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mann Looks To Bring World Title Dreams To Life<\/p>\n

Chase Mann enters this matchup on the back of a decisive promotional debut at ONE Fight Night 39<\/a> this past January.<\/p>\n

He earned a first-round TKO victory over Isi \u201cDoxz\u201d Fitikefu<\/a> to move his career record to a spotless 7-0. It was a statement arrival, and one that still hasn\u2019t fully sunk in.<\/p>\n

The American added:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always a relief to come out with a win. It\u2019s a dream come true. I\u2019m getting to live my dream, and I\u2019m fighting for the best promotion in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven seeing the pictures of me in the ring, I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, crap. I\u2019m really doing this.\u2019 But I don\u2019t let stuff go to my head like that. I\u2019m just taking it a day at a time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taking it one day at a time hasn\u2019t stopped the bigger picture from coming into focus.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A triumph over Dzhabrailov \u2013 a fighter with a similar level of relentlessness \u2013 could earn him a shot at Christian Lee\u2019s ONE Welterweight MMA World Championship.<\/p>\n

Mann has done the calculations, and he\u2019ll be more than happy if that chance comes knocking on his door next:<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve thought about it. I\u2019ve done the MMA math in my head and everything. But I can\u2019t think about it too much right now. I\u2019m going to get too excited, and I don\u2019t want to be arrogant.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut yes, I could see the winner [of this match] getting a title shot, for sure. I\u2019ve always thought and said that I don\u2019t want to rush anything. But if the opportunity presents itself, absolutely.
