Actor David Duchovny looked unrecognisable as he stepped out in a sequin skirt and a blond wig for a forthcoming movie.<\/p>\n
The iconic \u201990s TV star turned heads while on the set of the Andrew Jay Cohen-directed film Soapbox in Los Angeles last week.<\/p>\n
He also wore a black semi-sheer blouse, tights and bright red lipstick.<\/p>\n
Duchovny, 65, accessorised his cheeky look with sunglasses and Gray slippers.<\/p>\n
At one point, he was seen chatting with the production crew in between takes.<\/p>\n
The actor appeared chipper as he walked around sans the wig.<\/p>\n
Duchovny stars as an ageing soap opera star \u2014 opposite actress Laverne Cox \u2014 in the satirical comedy revolving around modern-day culture wars.<\/p>\n
He is also listed as a co-writer alongside Max Barbakow.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s not the first time Duchovny has dressed as a woman for a role: He played a transgender character named Denise in Twin Peaks back in 1991, resurrecting the role for the show\u2019s 2017 revival. <\/p>\n
The role is different from many of his other usual characters, including Fox Mulder in The X Files.<\/p>\n
Duchovny starred as an FBI agent alongside icon Gillian Anderson (who played Dana Scully) in the 11-season TV series, which ran from 1993 to 2018.<\/p>\n
He also appeared as Hank Moody in the series Californication from 2007 to 2014.<\/p>\n
The producer\u2019s most recent role was in the Jay Duplass-directed film See You When I See You, released in January.<\/p>\n
Duchovny is married to Monique Pendleberry, whom he wed last year.<\/p>\n
The star was previously married to T\u00e9a Leoni from 1997 to 2014.<\/p>\n
The exes are the parents of daughter Madelaine West, 26, and son Kyd, 23.<\/p>\n
