One bout removed from an unsuccessful strawweight title bid against
\nMackenzie
\nDern<\/a> last October, Jandiroba relied on her grappling to capture
\na unanimous decision triumph over Tabatha
\nRicci<\/a> in the UFC Vegas 115 co-main event on Saturday night.
\nThere were no surprises to Jandiroba\u2019s approach: She simply was
\nable to ground Ricci repeatedly \u2014 especially during the bout\u2019s
\nfirst 10 minutes. By the time Ricci authored a push in Round 3, the
\ndeficit on the scorecards was too great to overcome.<\/p>\n

As a result, Jandiroba maintains her No. 3 ranking at 115 pounds,
\nand she\u2019s already lobbying for a rematch with Dern. However, the
\nnext move for former strawweight queen Weili Zhang<\/a>
\n\u2014 who came up short in her bid for flyweight gold last November \u2014
\nwill determine much of the future of the division. Meanwhile, Ricci
\nloses out on a big opportunity to make a serious move in the
\nrankings. \u201cBaby Shark\u201d remains on the bubble at No. 11, with new
\ncontenders like Fatima
\nKline<\/a> breathing down her neck.<\/p>\n
