Dale Thomas, Joe Montagna and Nathan Brown have evacuated a commentary box at the MCG after Geelong great Steve Johnson went rogue live on air. <\/p>\n
The star-studded commentary quartet were previewing Sunday\u2019s clash where the Demons caused an upset over the Suns. <\/p>\n
However, the popular Sunday Rub show went off the rails when Johnson appeared to drop his guts in two different segments. <\/p>\n

Join now and get your first month for just $1.<\/a><\/p>\n In footage shared by Triple M Footy on social media, Thomas was seen in open disgust as Johnson let rip for a second time. <\/p>\n Suns assistant coach Shaun Grigg was being interviewed when Thomas, Montagna and Brown appeared to be shocked by a smell inside their commentary box. <\/p>\n You can watch the incident in the video player above<\/p>\n When the trio turned to a cheekily grinning Johnson, the accusations started flying, despite Johnson denying he supplied it. <\/p>\n \u201cStevie, you know what you\u2019ve done. Sorry Grigga, Stevie\u2019s just dropped one in the box and it stinks,\u201d Montagna said.<\/p>\n \u201cThat was disgraceful.\u201d<\/p>\n A horrified Thomas said: \u201cSomething\u2019s crawled up your arse for three days\u201d. <\/p>\n He went on to say: \u201cThat has gone so far up my nose it\u2019s starting to hurt. That was pungent\u201d. <\/p>\n When Johnson accused Brown, the Footy Show host replied: \u201cI have never made a smell like that in my life\u201d. <\/p>\n On a different segment later in the show, Johnson struck again. <\/p>\n With Thomas, Montagna and Brown catching a whiff, Thomas grimaced.<\/p>\n \u201cThere was a smirky look he gave me and I didn\u2019t know what it was for,\u201d he said live on air. <\/p>\n \u201cAnd it\u2019s because you dropped your guts again. It stinks.\u201d<\/p>\n The trio then stormed off from their seats and headed to the back of the box.<\/p>\n When the show returned from a break, Johnson was the only member of the crew still present.<\/p>\n \u201cCome over here boys. Let\u2019s have a good chat about the Adelaide and Fremantle game,\u201d Johnson said. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll apologise once you get down here. I apologise. I\u2019ve cleared the room. Are you there Nath?\u201d<\/p>\n Montagna said: \u201cWe were going to strike. That\u2019s workplace bullying. It\u2019s not safe in here at the moment. <\/p>\n \u201cYou better pull your head in. No more.\u201d<\/p>\n Thomas also quipped: \u201cMaybe take this segment off. Go to the rest room and sort yourself out. <\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s what you were smiling about. He looked me dead in the eye and smiled.\u201d<\/p>\n It was all business once the teams ran onto the ground. <\/p>\n In a tight contest, scores were locked up in the third quarter before the Demons raced away to lead by 27 points early in the final term. <\/p>\n Despite a spirited late fight from the Suns, they weren\u2019t able to close the gap as Melbourne captured their third win of the season<\/a> to move to 3-1.<\/p>\n The 16.13 (109) to 14.5 (89) victory launches the Demons into sixth spot on the ladder in a season where many predicted they would be in the lower trenches.<\/p>\n After losing multiple stars and bringing in a new coach, the club have reinvented themselves and are proving are handful in the early stages of the season.<\/p>\n The loss is the first of the year for the Suns who will look to bounce back next Saturday afternoon in a showdown against the Sydney Swans at Norwood Oval in Adelaide.<\/p>\n Melbourne will look to continue their winning ways when they tackle Essendon at Adelaide Oval.<\/p>\n
