Grant Denyer<\/a> has spoken out after he was taken to hospital following a three-car collision at the Bathurst 6 Hour.<\/p>\n

The Aussie TV star was driving a Class A2 Chevrolet Camaro when it was “tagged” by Richard Barram’s Class C Volkswagen Sirocco<\/a> in the fourth hour of Sunday’s race.<\/p>\n

Richard’s car then collided with Matt Kiss’s Class E Mazda, which was stationary at the time of the crash, before hitting the wall front on.<\/p>\n

Grant<\/a> was taken to Bathurst Hospital with concern for his shoulder, while Richard was taken to Orange Hospital with a suspected ankle injury.<\/p>\n

“I know there’s a few crazy headlines going on out there that have had a major accident and I’m in hospital, but just wanted to let you all know that I’m A-okay,” Grant said on social media on Monday night.<\/p>\n

“I was only in hospital for an hour, and that was only just for compulsory checks, as part of the regulations.<\/p>\n

“It was very minor. It was just a small scrape.”<\/p>\n

He posted a video of him leaving Melbourne’s airport in high spirits and revealed he was about to film another week’s worth of Deal or No Deal episodes.<\/p>\n

But he assured everyone he was not “nearly dying” in hospital and that it was just a small car pile up.<\/p>\n

Grant’s racing history revealed<\/p>\n

It’s the third time the Gold Logie winner has been involved in a nasty crash during his racing career, for which he has more than 500 races under his belt.<\/p>\n

In 2008, a 7.5 tonne monster truck accident that took place while he was filming a television segment<\/a> left him with a broken back and a long road to recovery.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Grant and his co-driver, Dale Moscatt, had to be rescued from their car after they crashed on stage 12 of the Lake Mountain Sprint.<\/p>\n

The TV host extraordinaire was left with a broken finger and fractured coccyx after that accident, with footage showing the vehicle going off the track and colliding with a tree.<\/p>\n

The pair was going more than 150km an hour when the rally car sped off the track.<\/p>\n

However, Grant was said to be in “good spirits” after the brutal crash.<\/p>\n

“Grant walked away from the crash and was then airlifted to a Melbourne hospital as a precaution for assessment,” a statement from Channel 10 <\/a>said at the time.<\/p>\n

“Grant sustained bruising to his lower back, while Dale has a suspected broken leg. Grant is walking around and is in good spirits.”<\/p>\n

Grant said it was “chilling” to see the footage of the accident once he was out of hospital, according to Mamamia<\/a><\/p>\n

He said he had to make a decision to hit the “biggest tree he’d ever seen” or try to avoid it in mere moments.<\/p>\n
