<a href=\"https:\/\/tasgeo.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Conference<\/a> will bring together Tasmania\u2019s geospatial community of practitioners, researchers, technologists and decision-makers to share ideas, showcase innovations, and chart the future of spatial thinking.<\/p>\n<p>The theme for this year\u2019s conference is \u2018Island to Insight: AI, Analytics and the Digital Landscape,\u2019 reflecting the ongoing convergence of the geospatial sector and the IT world.<\/p>\n<p>In particular, AI, machine learning, advanced data analytics and cloud platforms are changing the way the sector works, bringing both opportunities and challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The afternoon event will begin with registration and lunch from noon to 1:00pm, followed by speaker sessions from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, and networking drinks and canapes until 7:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>Abstracts, sponsorship and registration<\/p>\n<p>The call for abstracts is now open, with the organisers encouraging presentations that span the geospatial spectrum.<\/p>\n<p>Tasmanian geospatial endeavours cover a wide range of activities in sectors such as precision agriculture, forestry management, coastal monitoring, polar science and major infrastructure delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Presentations could, for instance, cover current and future advanced analytics and AI workflows and how they challenge, compliment or enhance traditional GIS and Earth observation practices.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about submitting an abstract, contact Steve Harwin at <a
