An alert has been issued for Perth motorists to fill up their tanks before fuel prices rise again, a faint remnant of the city\u2019s fuel cycle before the US-Israel-Iran war caused prices to spike.<\/p>\n
Wednesday \u2014 which would have classically seen a jump in prices after cheap fuel Tuesday before the war began \u2014 will put further pressure on Perth wallets, with prices firmly above $2 a litre.<\/p>\n
The price of ULP across the metropolitan area will rise from an average of 219.8c to 227.4c per litre, while diesel will spike from 306.8c to 318c per litre.<\/p>\n
\u201cMotorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow,\u201d FuelWatch said in a statement on Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
\u201cDrivers are also urged to only purchase the fuel they need to fill their vehicles, not to stockpile.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The cheapest petrol in Perth on Tuesday is at: Shell Bullsbrook, at 199.0c per litre in the EastBurk Cannington, and Burk Oakford at 193.3c per litre in the SouthBurk Mount Lawley, at 195.3c per litre at Burk Mount Lawley in the NorthWednesday\u2019s cheapest petrol in Perth will be at:Shell Bullsbrook, at 205.0c per litre in the EastLiberty Beckenham, at 191.3c per litre in the SouthBurk Landsdale, at 203.3c per litre in the North<\/p>\n
\u201cDespite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 38 individual sites offering ULP below 210c per litre,\u201d the FuelWatch statement said.<\/p>\n
\u201cBuying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 68c per litre, means motorists can potentially save $40 on a 60-litre tank.\u201d<\/p>\n
LPG will slightly increase from 143.1c to 144.0c per litre on average.<\/p>\n
Despite Perth\u2019s increase, the price of ULP is trending downwards across the state tomorrow \u2014 Albany, Bunbury, Busselton, Esperance, Geraldton, and Kalgoorlie\/Boulder will see a slight decrease on average prices.<\/p>\n
