But for one fan at an NHL game, they went home with something they\u2019ve been waiting for quite a while\u00a0\u2014 a baby.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During a matchup over the past weekend between the visiting Vegas Golden Knights and the home team Edmonton Oilers, a fan, according to several reports, including <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nhl\/article\/hockey-fan-goes-into-labor-gives-birth-during-oilers-game-at-rogers-place-140038178.html\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Yahoo Sports<\/a>, gave birth to a baby while the\u00a0two teams battled out for a stronger\u00a0finish in the Western Conference Pacific Division.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Vegas won the game 5-1 over Edmonton, but it\u2019s safe to say that despite the team\u2019s loss on their home ice at Rogers Place, the Oilers came away with one more fan.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The mother and baby have not been publicly identified, but the birth itself did make the game\u2019s broadcast when Oilers broadcaster Jack Michaels reported \u201cbreaking news\u201d and \u201cthat there\u2019s a baby being born on the seventh floor of Rogers Place as we speak.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/baby-born-in-canadian-arena-at-edmonton-oilers-game-11944112\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">People<\/a>\u00a0also reports it&#8217;s unclear if the woman had any assistance in giving birth to the child.
