an explosive finale<\/a> on Tuesday night, with plenty of the show\u2019s trademark drama \u2013 along with an actual engagement.<\/p>\nFilip popped the question to Stella as they stood in front of Sydney\u2019s iconic Harbour Bridge, leaving his TV \u201cbride\u201d utterly stunned.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou made me believe in love again Stella. You\u2019ve shown me what kindness, loyalty, and genuine care look like,\u201d Filip told her.<\/p>\n
\u201cI see our future so vividly \u2026 everyday you bring out the best version of me and remind me of what love truly is. <\/p>\n
\u201cStella, I love you more than I ever thought possible and I\u2019ve never felt more certain of anything. I know what my heart wants, something just for us, something that is truly ours,\u201d he said, moments before dropping to one knee. <\/p>\n
\u201cStella, will you marry me?\u201d<\/p>\n
Stella was left completely lost for words, with Filip repeating the question multiple times as she showered him with kisses before finally confirming it was a \u201cyes\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel like I\u2019m having an out of body experience,\u201d Stella told him. \u201cI can\u2019t wait\u201d. <\/p>\n
She later added: \u201cThree months ago, I was a single pringle, doing the most unhinged thing in my life. I never thought I would go on TV and try to find a husband\u201d.<\/p>\n
While theirs was the only actual engagement, Filip and Stella weren\u2019t the only lovebirds who committed to taking their relationship official, outside the experiment.<\/p>\n
Rachel and Steven shared a sweet moment in their final ceremony, during which Steven admitted he\u2019d been worrying he wasn\u2019t enough for her \u2013 and had been holding himself back to try and avoid being hurt.<\/p>\n
But finally, as he told her, that had changed.<\/p>\n
\u201cI choose you, and I\u2019m diving in, head first, fearless,\u201d Steven said.<\/p>\n
On the other end of the scale, there was plenty of jaw-dropping revelations as two couples (dramatically) went their separate ways.<\/p>\n
In arguably the most shocking scene of the finale, it appeared that Alissa was about to break David\u2019s heart, given that he was in love with her.<\/p>\n
But after beginning his speech with some sweet remarks \u2026 he abruptly dumped her.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat I\u2019ve come to understand is that with you there was no version of me that could win. If I pushed harder, I would\u2019ve been called controlling. If I held back, I was labelled disconnected,\u201d David told Alissa.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m walking away because loving you shouldn\u2019t mean losing myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
With that, he left \u2013 leaving a furious Alissa behind, telling producers (and viewers): \u201cI just wasted three months of my life and now he won\u2019t even listen to me\u201d.<\/p>\n
Ignoring the fact she was left in an empty room, she decided to tearfully read her vows anyway: \u201cI love you, David, for who you are, but not for me\u201d.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, it was a similarly brutal scene over at Bec and Danny\u2019s final vows.<\/p>\n
After telling him she loved him, David told her that she was his \u201csoulmate\u201d \u2013 but \u201cas a friend\u201d.<\/p>\n
