Essendon has been linked to young Suns forward Jed Walter.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s not the first time Walter\u2019s name has emerged in the trade rumour mill, with the former No. 3 pick yet to establish himself at the Suns at AFL level.<\/p>\n
Walter played his first senior game of 2026 in last week\u2019s loss to Melbourne but finished with a team-low 56 per cent game time including spending time in the ruck.<\/p>\n
According to AFL Media\u2019s Callum Twomey, the Bombers and Eagles are both monitoring the 20-year old, who was born in Western Australia before moving to Gold Coast.<\/p>\n
Though working out a trade for the Suns Academy product could be tricky, while Walter\u2019s future could hinge on star Suns free agent Ben King\u2019s looming free agency call.<\/p>\n
\u201cEssendon does have interest in him, they have for a while. West Coast is a club with interest as well,\u201d Twomey said on Gettable.<\/p>\n
