The AFL Integrity Unit is reportedly investigating an incident of \u201cpotential inappropriate touching\u201d by a Brisbane player to a Sydney opponent last Saturday. <\/p>\n

The Lions and Swans have been in communication with the league and are \u201caware of the AFL\u2019s enquiries\u201d, reports Nine\u2019s Tom Morris<\/a> on Monday afternoon. <\/p>\n

Morris said there was \u201cno complaint\u201d from the Sydney player.<\/p>\n

While the AFL is yet to officially comment on the matter, Brisbane said in a statement<\/a>: \u201cThe club is aware the AFL Integrity Unit is looking into an alleged incident from Saturday\u2019s match against Sydney. While this process is being conducted, the club will not be commenting at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n

Herald Sun journalist Jon Ralph reported on X<\/a>: \u201cThe incident in question sees the Lions player try to keep his feet amid a tangle of legs after a marking contest. If there is contact, it\u2019s extremely brief and totally accidental.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morris also reported that the incident was \u201cinitially viewed through a Match Review Officer lens\u201d before being referred to the league\u2019s Integrity Unit. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s believed that the absence of a complaint from the Sydney player bodes well for the Brisbane player in avoiding a harsher sanction. <\/p>\n

In 2023, the AFL suspended Gold Coast\u2019s Touk Miller one game in 2023 after committing a \u2018squirrel grip\u2019 act against Brisbane\u2019s Dayne Zorko. <\/p>\n

In 2020, Richmond\u2019s Nick Vlastuin and Jayden Short were made to apologise for inappropriately touching teammate Mabior Chol during their song celebration.<\/p>\n

Saturday afternoon\u2019s fixture saw plenty of drama off-field, too, with a crowd brawl erupting post-siren between Lions and Swans fans<\/a>. <\/p>\n
