February 27, 2026<\/a><\/p>\nAhead of DBX 6, we sat down MMA\/Bareknuckle superstar, and one of the founders of Dirty Boxing, Mike Perry, to break down the DBX 6 fight card, and his upcoming MMA fight vs Nate Diaz on Netflix.<\/p>\n
Hey Mike, talk to us about the main event for DBX 6 between Ron \u201cThe Wolf\u201d Perez vs Michael Garcia?<\/p>\n
Mike Perry: The Wolf is very outgoing.. he can be mean and nasty. They are fighting, they are going to face each other and try to hurt each other and make each other bleed. So, you know, he wears it on his chest. And, you know, both of these guys are undefeated in DBX rule style. And they\u2019ve both really gained a lot of clout with us.<\/p>\n
They\u2019ve helped us grow the sport. The sport has helped grow them. And April 10th is Friday, live and free on YouTube in the main event. These guys are going crazy. And the buildup to the main event with all the different stylistic matchups on the card between boxers and Muay Thai fighters, MMA guys versus kickboxers. We got the two tallest welterweights in the world pretty much facing each other and they\u2019re both very sharp and dangerous. So, the card is just gonna be ridiculous.<\/p>\n
Bryan \u201cEl Gallo\u201d Duran is a star in the bareknuckle scene, how do you see him transitioning to Dirty Boxing?<\/p>\n
El Gallo is Miami\u2019s own. He\u2019s bringing out a crowd and, you know, he puts on\u2014 he just had a big event as bare knuckle. Now he\u2019s gonna put little gloves on and throw some elbows in there. El Gallo is in a position of performing at his best right now, so you know, I think no matter what the case is, I think you\u2019re gonna get a very exciting matchup and fight out of him. The way our matchmaker\u2019s been putting things together, he\u2019s probably got a tough fight on his hands, and anyone\u2019s gonna shine through it, El Gallo.<\/p>\n
What sets Dirty Boxing apart from other combat sports? <\/p>\n
I think it\u2019s our rule set and our style, it\u2019s very action-packed. You\u2019re not allowed to really stall. I\u2019s a small ring, so you can move and use your feet, but then it just\u2014 you end up in a corner really quickly, and if your opponent put the pressure, you know, that\u2019s when the leather starts flying. So, these guys are pinned against each other in a must-be-active style combination. If you clinch, if there\u2019s any holding, they\u2019re gonna get a point deduction. So, the clinch, any holding has to be actively hitting. If you get a knockdown, it continues to the ground, the ground and pound. Find a way to survive that, back to your feet, right back to the punching, boxing, and elbows.<\/p>\n
Could we see you in the Dirty Boxing ring in the near future? <\/p>\n
I\u2019m hoping so. I\u2019m hoping to give the rule set a try, but I got a big fish to fry right now with Nate Diaz, May 16th, in mixed martial arts. So I\u2019m finally making my return to mixed martial arts, and I think the paths that I have, the opportunities or options to go towards, you know, whichever one makes the most sense, my managers will help me figure that out.<\/p>\n
How do you feel about returning to MMA to fight Nate Diaz? <\/p>\n
It\u2019s been incredible, man. Like, I\u2019ve always been a martial artist at heart, and my journey has been so important to me. And, you know, going into bare-knuckle fighting in that phone booth style and having such success in it and people taking notice of it, I\u2019m very grateful. And then getting the chance to go back to MMA, I\u2019ve trained my whole body up now and, you know, I\u2019m stretching, I\u2019m flexible, I\u2019m mixing in grappling and defending myself in different ways, and landing my devastating power. It\u2019s been a great part of the journey to get back, and we still have over 5 weeks of training left, so I\u2019m just staying consistent. I\u2019m very dialed in and disciplined and getting better every day.<\/p>\n
Do you think Nate (Diaz) is going to trade with you in the pocket instead of grappling with you?<\/p>\n
Yeah, I think Nate is going to put pressure and box with me. I think he\u2019s going to throw hands. I\u2019m going to have to hit him. I\u2019m going to have to hit him hard enough to make him grab me, and when he does, I need to capitalize on the grab. I need to use it in my advantage and hit him some more. You know, I\u2019m just looking to hit him. I\u2019m sure he knows that.<\/p>\n
How excited are you to fight on Netflix?<\/p>\n
Yeah, man, that\u2019s huge this could be the most viewed MMA event of all time. How cool is that for that many people to be watching Platinum Mike Perry make his return to mixed martial arts and use everything. I was one who was very devastating in the clinch with elbows and knees. I\u2019m getting a chance to do that again, and I have to utilize it.<\/p>\n
