Both tranches are priced at 3 cents per share (cps). <\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">Metroglass said an independent report by Grant Samuel concluded there were \u201cno viable alternatives\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">Also on the takeover front, <a href=\"https:\/\/businessdesk.co.nz\/article\/markets\/vital-presses-remaining-shareholders-to-back-tait-communciatons-takeover\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Vital\u2019s board urged investors<\/a> to accept Tait Communication\u2019s takeover offer, warning the deal could collapse if the 90% minimum acceptance condition is not met before the mid-September deadline.<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">In June, Tait Communications, a Christchurch-based critical communications systems provider, made a formal offer to purchase NZX-listed Vital for 45cps.<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">On Friday, the board reiterated its unanimous recommendation, urging shareholders to accept \u201cwithout delay\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">Vital shares fell 3.3% to 44c, having traded above the offer price towards the end of last week.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<a class=\"ad__link\" data-test-ui=\"ad__link\" href=\"https:\/\/advertising.nzme.co.nz\/\" data-ad-env=\"both\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Advertise with NZME.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">Eroad continued its run from last week, rising 7.18% to $2.09 on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">The share price for telematics and fleet management rose to <a href=\"https:\/\/businessdesk.co.nz\/article\/policy\/eroad-stock-jumps-25-after-update-on-road-user-charges\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a three-year high<\/a> after the Government announced it would transition the light vehicle fleet to road user charges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">Earnings season<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">Robertshawe noted that due to continuous disclosure requirements, companies had already confessed their sins in June and July. <\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">Subsequently, he said markets were unlikely to be too surprised by earnings reports.<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cPeople will be looking for the quality of results. Are there abnormals? Are there provision releases? Are there one-off sale processes? That will be the key.<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cAnd then obviously the reporting on trading since the balance date, and what does trading look like for the first half of the 2026 financial year?<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">Vista Group, which reports its half-year results on Thursday, would be the most interesting stock to watch this week, he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cThey hinted at a slight slowdown in uptake and migration to their new product, but it feels almost like they don\u2019t have the resources to go faster, as they\u2019ve tried to hit free cash flow break-even.<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">\u201cThere could be an interesting announcement where they say they\u2019re going to push the company back into short-term cash flow deficits because they want to accelerate the growth to the new revenue model.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"zZbQRyor\" style=\"display:none\">Vista traded flat at $3.50 on volumes worth nearly $1.5m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\u201cNew Zealand dairy is still in demand, which is good and bad for them.
