It’s the offseason in the NBA<\/a> and basketball icon LeBron James<\/a> has found himself a new hobby.<\/p>\n

James, who is set to enter his 23rd season in the NBA, is committed to playing out his contract for the Los Angeles<\/a> Lakers.<\/p>\n

By living in the LA weather, James now has the ability to pursue a new ‘addiction’ full time: golfing.<\/p>\n

The four-time MVP has been spotted throughout the summer enjoying some time on the links and in a video he posted to his social media, he admits that he can’t stop.<\/p>\n

‘Addicted. I’m sorry. I know, yep, that’s it. Yep. Rain and everything,’ James said on his Instagram story as water fell from the sky around him.<\/p>\n

It’s not clear what sparked James’ recent fascination with the sport, but the 40-year-old is in good company.<\/p>\n

James was rumored to be considering a move on from Los Angeles, but that fizzled out<\/p>\n

Other NBA greats like Michael Jordan and Steph Curry became prolific golfers during their playing days.<\/p>\n

Curry even mocked LeBron for his swing once – even going so far as to impersonate James<\/a> on-course at the American Century Championship celebrity tournament in Lake Tahoe.<\/p>\n

‘Rookie hazing,’ Curry called it. ‘He got his first few swings out there. I talked to him last week and he told me how much fun he had.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘You know, there’s something to work with that swing, though. That’s kind of what I was going for. He’s got good bones and a good foundation, and if he spends a little bit of time practicing, a little bit of coaching, he’s got potential for sure. So, I’m excited to see it.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

While James is working on getting into the sport now, many fear that he’s approaching the end of his career in the sport he’d dominated in for over two decades.<\/p>\n

It was rumored that James was looking to depart the Lakers – with Cleveland, Dallas, and Golden State as potential destinations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But, nothing has materialized and James seems happy to ride out his final days with the Lakers.<\/p>\n
