Helmut Marko is due to return to an F1-related role, his first since his exit from Red Bull.<\/p>\n
The Austrian was a long-time associate of the Milton Keynes-based squad and played a crucial role in its championship-winning years with Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen.<\/p>\n
However, he confirmed at the end of the 2025 season that he would not be returning to the team for the following season.<\/p>\n
It has now been reported by OE24 that Marko will now act as an ambassador for the Austrian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
The race in Spielberg returned to the F1 calendar in 2014 and has been the scene of notable moments, including clashes between title rivals.<\/p>\n
Last year, F1 confirmed a long-term extension with the Austrian Grand Prix, which is due to remain on the calendar until at least 2041.<\/p>\n
The 2026 edition of the race is due to take place on June 28, forming the eighth round of the campaign.<\/p>\n
