The 1876 Gate will be officially opened ahead of our first home County Championship game of the season.<\/p>\n

Join us at 9:50am on Friday 10 April ahead of the start of play on day one to witness the official opening of our new 1876 Gate.<\/p>\n

The 1876 Gate will serve as a direct link between Central Park and the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground via Century Tower. Offering easier access to the ground from Meteor Way and Chelmsford Railway Station.<\/p>\n

This is one of many celebrations taking place in 2026 to mark the Club\u2019s 150th anniversary, and has been kindly sponsored by Woodland Group.<\/p>\n

The Rothesay County Championship returns to Chelmsford this weekend as Essex host Somerset in round two of Division One, looking to make it back-to-back wins after a dominant victory in the opening round.<\/p>\n

Tickets for all four days at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground are still available to purchase\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0or by calling 01245 254010.<\/p>\n

Play is due to start at 11am with the gates opening at 10am.<\/p>\n

Adult tickets start from \u00a318 whilst young adults\/students can enter at a reduced price of \u00a312 and junior\u2019s for \u00a310 –\u00a0purchase a Junior ticket and you can apply for a FREE Junior Membership Upgrade for the 2026 season!\u00a0Junior Membership includes free entrance to all home Rothesay County Championship and Metro Bank One Day Cup matches.<\/p>\n

You can also choose to upgrade your ticket to a \u2018Members Upgrade\u2019 which gives you access to all members areas including the Doug Insole Pavilion, for an extra cost.<\/p>\n

We do offer family tickets, providing groups of families a discount to come and watch the cricket at the Ambassador Cruise Line Ground.<\/p>\n
