The latest batch of MLB City Connect<\/a> uniforms have arrived.<\/p>\n

Eight teams unveiled their new alternates for 2026 on Thursday: the Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Cincinnati Reds, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres<\/a> and Texas Rangers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The City Connect concept debuted in 2021 and has continued ever since, with all of these clubs now on their second installments. City Connect uniforms, according to MLB<\/a>, present teams in “novel color schemes, typefaces and graphics that are designed to reflect cultural aspects of each team\u2019s home city.”<\/p>\n

Let’s take a look at the eight new uniforms, with explanations from the teams on the design inspirations and when they will first hit the field.<\/p>\n

Braves City Connect <\/p>\n

Atlanta is bringing back a modernized version<\/a> of its powder blue uniforms of the 1980s, with red piping, an updated “Atlanta” script and “ATL” block letter sleeve patch. The hats are powder blue with a lowercase “a,” paired with white pants and a blue and red stripe down the side.<\/p>\n

Orioles City Connect<\/p>\n

It won’t look familiar to many fans today, but this is a nod back<\/a> to the 1890s Baltimore Baseball Club with the old-school “B” on the cap. The jersey pays tribute to the Orioles’ home of Camden Yards with the home run plaques on the sleeve and scoreboard clock lettering.<\/p>\n

Reds City Connect<\/p>\n

If you look closely, this jersey is a variation<\/a> of the Reds’ old vest-style jersey worn more than two decades ago. The only problem is that the “undershirt” is indistinguishable from the actual jersey, with both being the same shade of red. The vest part of the jersey has subtle pinstripes, as do the red hat and red pants.<\/p>\n

Royals City Connect<\/p>\n

The Royals went with a unique gradient design<\/a>, both on the hat and on the jersey lettering, to highlight the city’s waterways. The revamped “R” logo on the jersey is a tribute to the original 1969 mark. It’s less flashy than some of the others, but the white jersey and white pants make for a clean look.<\/p>\n

Brewers City Connect<\/p>\n

The Brewers honored Wisconsin<\/a> with their uniforms. The blue base and cream accents honor the state’s lakes, shores and bluff, with “Wisco” across the chest. On the blue hat, there’s a stylized “W” over the state’s border.<\/p>\n

Pirates City Connect<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh’s sports teams are all about the black and yellow, and these uniforms are no different<\/a>. There’s a yellow hat with the 1997-era Pirate wearing an eyepatch and red bandana. The black jersey has the same logo on the sleeve and pirate-style lettering on the chest, and it pairs with black pants and a yellow stripe on the side.<\/p>\n

Padres City Connect<\/p>\n

San Diego’s bi-national culture<\/a>, with the United Sates and Mexico, is shown off in this design<\/a>. There’s a focus on D\u00eda de los Muertos, using a unique sleeve logo. The navy blue jerseys having orange and pink accents, as do the white pants. The bone-colored hat is also a nod to Mexican folk art.<\/p>\n

Rangers City Connect<\/p>\n

The Rangers also honored Mexican heritage with the “Tejas” wordmark, cochineal red anchors, charro-embossed belt and mariachi-inspired fill patterns. The hat and jersey are both red with block letters, while the pants are white with the charro-inspired pattern down the side.<\/p>\n
