The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/torque-gc\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Torque GC<\/a> star opened with a bogey on the first hole, and it got worse from there. Ortiz made a bogey or worse on each of his first five holes, including double bogeys on the second and fifth holes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>After making the turn at 7 over, the Mexican settled down on the back nine. He shot 1 over on his final nine holes with two birdies and three bogeys. Ortiz finished with an 8-over 80 and will need a low round on Friday to make the cut.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>CHARL SCHWARTZEL, SOUTHERN GUARDS GC<\/p>\n<p>Score: 3-over 75\u00a0<br \/>Tee times: Rd. 1, 8:26 a.m.; Rd. 2; 11:39 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Round 1: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.livgolf.com\/players\/charl-schwartzel\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Charl Schwartzel<\/a> opened his Masters bid with a bogey on the first hole and followed with four straight pars before notching his first birdie of the day on the par-3 sixth. The 2011 Masters champion then dropped back-to-back bogeys on the ninth and 10th holes. In the end, Schwartzel struggled to a 3-over 75 on a tough opening day at Augusta National.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, course is tough. It&#8217;s firm,\u201d Schwartzel said. \u201cThere was a few tough pin placements. Didn&#8217;t really feel like I played that badly. You know, didn&#8217;t make enough key 12-footers.
