This card doesn\u2019t feel quite the same with the loss of the scheduled flyweight title fight betwen Joshua Van and Tatsuro Taira. Luckily for us fans, the card is stacked with talent from the early prelims to the highly anticipated light heavyweight main event. Jiri Prochazka is must-see TV. His pairing with \u201cBlack Jag\u201d Carlos Ulberg promises 5 rounds of violence or less. Let us begin in earnest with a violent welterweight clash that pits the brash, well-rounded American Charlie \u201cChuck Buffalo\u201d Radtke against the young Argentine striker, Francisco Prado.<\/p>\n

UFC 327: Proch\u00e1zka vs. Ulberg \u2013 MMA DFS Picks & Betting Breakdown Charles Radtke ($8,800) vs. Francisco Prado ($7,400) <\/p>\n

\"Radtke<\/p>\n

Charles Radtke (4-2 UFC), better known as \u201cChuck Buffalo,\u201d has had a weird run in the promotion. On the one hand, 4 UFC wins is nothing to sneeze at. On the other hand, Radtke is not defeating the cream of the crop. Instead, he is beating the likes of Blood Diamond (0-3 UFC), Gilbert Urbina (1-3 UFC), Matthew Semelsberger (5-6 UFC), and Daniel Frunza (0-2 UFC). Radtke has lost twice in the UFC and was finished in both losses, but you can forgive it because he lost to Carlos Prates (6-1 UFC) and Mike Malott (6-1 UFC), ranked fighters with serious skills.<\/p>\n

Francisco Prado (1-4 UFC) is only 23 years of age compared to his 35-year-old opponent, so I think it is fair to assume we can expect more growth and development from Prado working with American Top Team than Radtke, who has been fighting as an amateur since 2011. Prado\u2019s resume is also tough to gauge because he only has one meaningless win against Ottman Azaitar at 155lb. He was easily out-wrestled by Jamie Mullarkey (6-7 UFC) in his debut at 155lb. And he was -30 on the significant strike count against Daniel Zellhuber (4-3 UFC). Since moving up to welterweight, Prado gave up 2 takedowns on 6 attempts from Nikolay Veretennikov (2-3 UFC) while getting outlanded on significant strikes (-9).<\/p>\n

This fight is not easy to call. Radtke is probably less durable and lower volume than Prado, but he should also have a substantial technical edge and more competitive experience on the mat. Radtke is a solid BJJ black belt with mediocre takedowns, but Prado presents a 50% takedown defense rate. Prado has conceded 5 takedowns in as many UFC fights, but he conceded the only 2 takedowns to Veretennikov (TD Ratio 2:13 in 5 fights). If it\u2019s a pure striking battle, it is probably a coin flip, but because it is a mixed martial arts bout, I will lean ever so slightly to the Valley Flow Striking Academy representative. If Prado can\u2019t find the chin, I think he has fewer paths to victory.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Charles Radtke defeats Francisco Prado via SUB\/DEC (or Prado via KO)<\/p>\n
