If you feel like there are going to be good receivers in the second and third round, which I think there will be based on the depth of the class, that allows you to do other things with the 11th pick. That allows you to do other with the 30th pick. I think that’s how you have to big picture all of this.

“I don’t have a particular name, though, other than speculating on a fit. I think [Omar] Cooper would kind of be the one that would fit what Bobby Slowik is looking for and, probably from a program standpoint, what Jeff Hafley is looking for, as he tries to build in Year 1. I think they will get a receiver or two within the first three rounds of the draft.”

In the last two months, the Dolphins have traded Jaylen Waddle and released both Tyreek Hill and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. And, while they’ve replaced them with Tutu Atwell, Jalen Tolbert and Terrace Marshall Jr., Miami could really use more talented players in the room.

Cooper is an intriguing fit for Miami. The 6-foot, 200-pound wideout spent the last four years at Indiana, catching 115 passes for 1,798 yards and 22 touchdowns. However, there’s a strong chance that he goes in the picks between Miami’s two in the first round.

More Dolphins: NFL analyst believes Dolphins QB Malik Willis could be the next Sam Darnold

This article originally appeared on Dolphins Wire: NFL draft: NFL insider expects Dolphins to target massive need early

The Miami Dolphins have a loaded treasure chest full of selections to make in the 2026 NFL draft,…

[559
17076,143069,64,63,47937,5373,194741,1233,593,247994,85,291810,126704,5385
0":"post-598273","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-nfl","8":"tag-2026-nfl-draft","9":"tag-albert-breer","10":"tag-au","11":"tag-australia","12":"tag-jalen-tolbert","13":"tag-jaylen-waddle","14":"tag-jeff-hafley","15":"tag-miami-dolphins","16":"tag-nfl","17":"tag-nick-westbrook-ikhine","18":"tag-sports","19":"tag-treasure-chest","20":"tag-tutu-atwell","21":"tag-tyreek-hill
["GET
