The Miami Dolphins<\/a> have a loaded treasure chest full of selections to make in the 2026 NFL draft, especially early on, with seven picks in the first 100 of this year’s selection meeting.<\/p>\n

While new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and new head coach Jeff Hafley have plenty of holes to fill on both sides of their roster, wide receiver is one of their thinnest position groups at the start of their offseason program this week.<\/p>\n

With that knowledge, the MMQB’s Albert Breer believes<\/a> that the Dolphins<\/a> will take at least one wide receiver in the first three rounds, and they could take more than that.<\/p>\n

“That’s what’s interest about the spot that the Dolphins are in,” Breer said. “With having the two first-round picks, having seven picks in the first three rounds, they’re really able to kind of look at this as a big-picture thing. If you feel like there are going to be good receivers in the second and third round, which I think there will be based on the depth of the class, that allows you to do other things with the 11th pick. That allows you to do other with the 30th pick. I think that’s how you have to big picture all of this.<\/p>\n

“I don’t have a particular name, though, other than speculating on a fit. I think [Omar] Cooper would kind of be the one that would fit what Bobby Slowik is looking for and, probably from a program standpoint, what Jeff Hafley is looking for, as he tries to build in Year 1. I think they will get a receiver or two within the first three rounds of the draft.”<\/p>\n

In the last two months, the Dolphins have traded Jaylen Waddle and released both Tyreek Hill and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. And, while they’ve replaced them with Tutu Atwell, Jalen Tolbert and Terrace Marshall Jr., Miami could really use more talented players in the room.<\/p>\n

Cooper is an intriguing fit for Miami. The 6-foot, 200-pound wideout spent the last four years at Indiana, catching 115 passes for 1,798 yards and 22 touchdowns. However, there’s a strong chance that he goes in the picks between Miami’s two in the first round.<\/p>\n
