He entered the NCAA transfer portal earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>Pippen is the son of NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen and played his high school basketball at Sierra Canyon in Los Angeles. His older brother is <a data-clubhouse-guid=\"af5d4942-aeb5-2d07-2a8a-f70b54617e51\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/team\/_\/name\/mem\/memphis-grizzlies\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Memphis Grizzlies<\/a> guard <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/player\/_\/id\/4431785\/scotty-pippen-jr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Scotty Pippen Jr.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Editor&#8217;s Picks<a name=\"&amp;lpos=story:editorspicks:inline:1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mens-college-basketball\/story\/_\/id\/48415182\/mens-college-basketball-transfer-portal-tracking-live-news-updates\" class=\"img-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/r1620191_1296x1296_1-1.jpg&#038;w=130&#038;h=130&#038;scale=crop&#038;location=center.jpeg\" width=\"65\" height=\"65\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Justin Pippen is expected to play a large role at Ohio State, as he is a combo guard who will be expected to fill a role similar to the one departing Buckeyes guard <a data-player-guid=\"06df58e2-24ad-3ac0-8dde-6f26cd0a5655\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mens-college-basketball\/player\/_\/id\/4895776\/devin-royal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Devin Royal<\/a> played.<\/p>\n<p>Pippen will be the rare player to play on both sides of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mens-college-basketball\/team\/_\/id\/130\/michigan-wolverines\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Michigan<\/a>-Ohio State rivalry.
