UFC 327<\/a> is less than 24 hours away \u2026<\/p>\n

It all goes down in \u201cThe Magic City\u201d this weekend (Sat., April 11, 2026) inside Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. In the main event, former Light Heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka tries to reclaim his title against Carlos Ulberg in a fight that should produce fireworks.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve read this series for the past year, you\u2019re probably expecting me to pick a knockout prop<\/a> in the Dominick Reyes vs. Johnny Walker as this weekend\u2019s lock \u2026. and it pains me not to do it \u2014 however, the fight is so unpredictable that I would just be guessing.<\/p>\n

And because I\u2019ve enjoyed getting back on track so much, I\u2019ve gone in another direction\u2026<\/p>\n

Buried on the UFC 327 Prelims, top Lightweight Mateusz Gamrot collides with exciting Argentine fighter Esteban Ribovics \u2014 and I\u2019m locking in Gamrot\u2019s moneyline at -190<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gamrot is quietly one of the best Lightweights in the world \u2014 even if the UFC doesn\u2019t always treat him like it. The former KSW champion, who is coming off a second-round submission loss to Charles Oliviera, has built a reputation on relentless pressure, elite wrestling, and suffocating control. His ability to chain takedowns together and keep opponents guessing is among the best in the division.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s exactly where the path to victory lies here.<\/p>\n

Ribovics is an absolute fan favorite \u2014 and for good reason. His fights are chaos, his striking is sharp, and he\u2019s already been part of multiple Fight of the Year contenders. That style is exciting \u2026 but it also comes with holes. His takedown defense has been suspect, especially earlier in his UFC run. In his debut just two years ago, he was taken down eleven times and then three times in his second outing \u2014 a glaring stat when facing someone like Gamrot.<\/p>\n

Oh, and Ribovics\u2019 four other fights? They were against strikers (although Nasrat Haqparast is definitely more than a striker).<\/p>\n

Even in his recent success, Ribovics has shown he can be controlled when opponents commit to wrestling. And Gamrot doesn\u2019t just wrestle \u2014 he weaponizes it. Expect him to close the distance, mix in level changes, and rack up control time while neutralizing Ribovics\u2019 striking advantage.<\/p>\n

The odds here feel closer than they probably should be, and that\u2019s largely because of Ribovics\u2019 fan-friendly style. People remember the wars, the knockouts, the chaos \u2014 and they\u2019re betting with that in mind. But stylistically, this is a tough matchup for him.<\/p>\n

Gamrot doesn\u2019t need to win pretty. He just needs to impose his game \u2014 and if he does, he wins this fight more often than not.<\/p>\n

Ribovics is dangerous. If Gamrot gets sloppy on entries or eats a clean shot during a transition, this could flip quickly. Gamrot also likes to get himself into brawls, as he did with Dan Hooker \u2014 he thrives in chaos \u2014 and if the fight stays standing longer than expected, the risk increases for Gamrot to get beaten up.<\/p>\n

Still, given the stylistic edge and grappling advantage, Gamrot\u2019s moneyline at -192 looks like one of the smartest plays on the UFC 327 card.<\/p>\n
