Nwoko, a 6-10 and 260-pound forward from Toronto, Ontario, played as a junior this past season at LSU.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n&#8220;We are excited about the addition of Mike to our basketball program,&#8221; said Pitino. &#8220;Mike was extremely productive and efficient last year. He&#8217;s a terrific scorer in the low post and can provide rim protection on defense.\u00a0 We expect him to make an immediate impact.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nNwoko, who started 29 of LSU&#8217;s 32 games, finished third on the team in scoring at 13.4 ppg. and second in rebounding at 5.9 rpg. (22nd\u00a0in the SEC), while shooting 61.0 percent (155-254) from the field. Nwoko scored in double figures in 23 games, including each of the last five games while scoring 16.0 ppg. over that stretch. Nwoko posted double-doubles in his last two games: 16 points and 13 rebounds in the regular season finale vs. Texas A&amp;M and 16 points and 12 rebounds vs. Kentucky in the SEC Tournament.
