OXFORD, Miss. – Mizzou tennis faced Southeastern Conference opponent No. 4 Auburn on the road, dropping its match 4-0.<\/p>\n
The Auburn Tigers claimed the first point of the match by clinching doubles. Freshman Lara Quaglia<\/a> and sophomore Gian Octa<\/a> fell 6-2, followed by freshman Alex Ackman<\/a> and sophomore Zoe Lazar<\/a> losing 6-1. Doubles duo sophomore Korina Roso<\/a> and senior Andrea Artimedi<\/a> were down 4-3 before their match went unfinished.<\/p>\n Transitioning into singles, Roso lost first against No. 49 Ekaterina Khairutdinova, 6-2, 6-2. Octa fell next in the No. 1 spot, battling No. 37 DJ Bennett, 6-0, 6-3.
