{"id":599561,"date":"2026-04-11T07:07:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-11T07:07:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/599561\/"},"modified":"2026-04-11T07:07:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-11T07:07:10","slug":"kettle-recalled-in-australia-over-glaring-design-fault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/599561\/","title":{"rendered":"Kettle recalled in Australia over glaring design fault"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A travel kettle has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.9news.com.au\/product-recall\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"recalled\">recalled<\/a> after it was revealed to have a design flaw that could cause serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s product safety watchdog issued a recall notice for Valley Sisters&#8217; DUCK4X4 Travel Folding Electric Kettle after it was revealed the appliance does not turn off automatically after the water is boiled.<\/p>\n<p>This is because it doesn&#8217;t have an automatic switch to shut it down.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/https:\/\/prod.static9.net.au\/fs\/9b1105f7-6e5f-4d17-b1a2-575981532a11.png\"   alt=\"Customers are urged to stop using the Valley Sisters kettle immediately.\"\/>Customers are urged to stop using the Valley Sisters kettle immediately.
