{"id":601392,"date":"2026-04-12T04:44:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-12T04:44:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/601392\/"},"modified":"2026-04-12T04:44:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-12T04:44:10","slug":"dana-white-announces-lewis-vs-hokit-added-to-ufc-freedom-250","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/601392\/","title":{"rendered":"Dana White Announces Lewis vs. Hokit Added To UFC Freedom 250"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Despite the previous announcement that there will be six fights for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmanews.com\/tag\/ufc-freedom-250\" class=\"tag-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">UFC Freedom 250<\/a> card, a seventh has been added tonight after the UFC 327 performance of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmanews.com\/tag\/josh-hokit\" class=\"tag-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Josh Hokit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In an announcement posted to social media during the event, UFC CEO and President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmanews.com\/tag\/dana-white\" class=\"tag-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dana White<\/a> announced that Hokit will compete on the UFC Freedom 250 card, taking on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmanews.com\/tag\/derrick-lewis\" class=\"tag-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Derrick Lewis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Derrick Lewis vs. Josh Hokit Added To UFC Freedom 250 At White House<\/p>\n<p>Hokit competed in just his third UFC bout during UFC 327, going toe-to-toe with Curtis Blaydes. The two put on a bloody heavyweight slugfest, with the two wobbling one another throughout. Hokit landed the more effective strikes and got the win via decision.<\/p>\n<p>Hokit, a former NFL player, won a UFC contract on Dana White&#8217;s Contender Series last year. He then scored first-round finishes of Max Gimenis and Denzel Freeman in his first two UFC fights.<\/p>\n<p>Lewis is 3-2 in his last five.
