It is widely believed that victory on Saturday night could set up the long-awaited clash with fellow British heavyweight Anthony Joshua later this year<\/a>, with a potential rematch with unified champion Oleksandr Usyk also on the cards.<\/p>\n In the build-up to his comeback fight, Fury has claimed that he is returning after the tragic deaths of Joshua’s friends in a car crash in December made him realise that he needs to live every day like it’s his last.<\/p>\n But his comeback is coming against the wishes of those closest to him, with dad John<\/a> perhaps the most outspoken against his son’s plans to return to the ring, raising questions about if we can expect to see him come fight night.<\/p>\n As Fury’s ring walk approaches, it appears that we now have our answer, with a report from Mail Sport<\/a> claiming that John not be in attendance and remains completely against his son’s return, despite appearing at the press conference for the bout in February.<\/p>\n The decision comes just weeks after John revealed that his relationship with Tyson was ‘destroyed’ by the return to boxing<\/a>, admitting that his son’s best days are behind him.<\/p>\n “My relationship with Tyson is destroyed”, he told Playbook Boxing<\/a>. <\/p>\n “Boxing destroyed it completely. I’ll say it on camera: I’ve never taken \u00a310 off him in my life and I never will. <\/p>\n “I don’t want Tyson’s money and I don’t need Tyson’s money. Whatever he’s got, good luck to him. But, don’t forget who built his story when he was a kid. He didn’t build it himself, did he? Me, his father.<\/p>\n “I was 30 seconds away from asking for a break there. I haven’t really expressed these emotions before but they’re strong and they’re there.<\/p>\n “I think he’s past his best. I’m a no-filter kind of guy – I say it how I see it. I love him, but there are too many people patting him on the back and telling him things that aren’t true, building him up like he’s invincible.
