The 49ers extended their program-record win streak to 16 on Sunday with a Senior Day sweep of No. 59 Old Dominion, 4-0. The victory also secured a perfect 11-0 record at home \u2014 the program’s first undefeated home slate since the 2018-19 season, excluding the shortened 2019-20 campaign when Charlotte went 4-0.<\/p>\n

It marked their 14th doubles victory of the season, tying for the team lead with Shona Nakano<\/a> and Andrea Chacon<\/a>, who set the tone early with a 6-1 win at No. 3.<\/p>\n Xi carried that momentum into singles as part of Charlotte’s dominant showing, with the 49ers sweeping the first set in every match for the third consecutive dual. Her 6-2, 6-2 win over No. 100 Victoria Matasova at No. 1 put Charlotte on the board in singles, before Nakano followed with a 6-2, 6-1 victory from the No. 3 spot.<\/p>\n Suchankova sealed the sweep with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2, finishing the spring with a team-best 16-1 singles record, including victories in each of her last 14 matches.<\/p>\n “Time to set our sights on the conference tournament, we can’t wait to compete in Houston,” Davison said.<\/p>\n Up Next<\/p>\n The 49ers head to Houston for next week’s American Conference Championships with the league’s best record, aiming to capture their first conference title.<\/p>\n Charlotte went 3-0 against conference opponents during the regular season, highlighted by a 4-1 win over tournament host \u2014 and then-No. 56 \u2014 Rice on March 14.
