Hosting duo returns

Joining forces once again to front this year’s season are hosting duo Bree Tomasel and Jayden Daniels, who described the new season as “quintessentially Kiwi”.

“I love that the cast comes from all walks of life and you get to see those relationships form on the show,” Tomasel said.

“There’s nothing else like it on TV and that’s why I’m so excited it’s back.”

After spending last season as a viewer, Daniels said he was “stoked” to return to the show he loved so much.

“Celebrity Treasure Island has always meant family to me. It’s what we used to gather around and watch when I was younger, and I love that sense of nostalgia,” he said.

“I’m still a huge fan, so getting to see it all unfold firsthand is pretty awesome!”

Celebrity Treasure Island starts April 27 and airs 7.30pm Monday to Wednesday on TVNZ2 and TVNZ+.

The morning’s headlines in 90 seconds, including why not to get complacent about storm warnings, President Trump threatens to blockade the strait of Hormuz, and Justin Bieber takes over Coachella.
