Ten years after Naughty Dog\u2019s video game \u201cUncharted 4: A Thief\u2019s End\u201d released to great acclaim, talk of another entry in the franchise continues to gather momentum.<\/p>\n

Last year, around this time, reports surfaced claiming that another \u201cUncharted\u201d game was coming from the developer.<\/p>\n

They claimed the game had been in the works for several years and was said to be one of the secondary projects the developer had been working on outside of their main focus on new IP \u201cIntergalactic: The Heretic Prophet\u201d.<\/p>\n

Shaun Escayg, who co-directed spin-off \u201cUncharted: The Lost Legacy,\u201d was also said to be leading the project as studio boss Neil Druckmann focused on \u201cIntergalactic\u201d.<\/p>\n

There were doubts as the scooper\u2019s source on gaming was spotty. Then two weeks ago, scooper Alir<\/a> (who recently confirmed a new \u201cMetro\u201d title is in development) seemingly confirmed that a new \u201cUncharted\u201d is the secondary project at Naughty Dog.<\/p>\n

That was followed by Shaun Escayg himself posting a photo on Instagram<\/a> of an old-time canon pointed towards a seaside town and captioned it \u2018Research\u2019. The photo was subsequently revealed (via Kotaku<\/a>) to have been taken at Fort George in Trinidad and Tobago.<\/p>\n

A report at Insider Gaming<\/a> also came up, revealing that \u201csome planning of an Uncharted 5\u201d took place prior to COVID but then seemingly stalled.<\/p>\n

It also follows on from Vinit Agarwal, who was involved with the now-cancelled \u201cthe Last of Us\u201d multiplayer game, revealing to Tech4Gamers<\/a> that when the TLOU multiplayer was scrapped, Naughty Dog had two single-player games in development \u2013 \u201cIntergalactic\u201d and something else.<\/p>\n

Speculation about another entry in the franchise keeps growing, even as the state of a sequel to the not-so-well-received 2022 film adaptation remains unclear. Don\u2019t be too surprised if Nathan Drake appears again in some form in the next few years.<\/p>\n
