The Strokes<\/a> have announced details of a 2026 world tour in support of new album \u2018Reality Awaits\u2019, taking in dates in the UK, Europe, North America and Japan. Check out dates and ticket details below.<\/p>\n

Hot on the heels of the NYC indie heroes releasing their comeback single \u2018Going Shopping<\/a>\u2018 and announcing their first album in six years with \u2018Reality Awaits<\/a>\u2018, ahead of their huge show at Coachella 2026<\/a>, Julian Casablancas<\/a> and co will be hitting the road for global dates kicking off in June and running through to the end of autumn.<\/p>\n

The tour will see stops including two nights at the iconic Red Rocks, before hitting London\u2019s The O2, Toronto\u2019s RBC Amphitheatre, Paris\u2019 Accor Arena, Amsterdam\u2019s Ziggo Dome and more. The UK dates mark the band\u2019s first full tour on British shores in 20 years.<\/p>\n

Thundercat<\/a>, Cage the Elephant<\/a>, Hamilton Leithauser<\/a>, Fat White Family<\/a>, Alex Cameron and \u00d6L\u00dcM will support select dates across the tour.<\/p>\n

After a Coachella set loaded with classics, banter and a dig at Amazon\u2019s Jeff Bezos<\/a>, the band are gearing up to release their new album since 2020\u2019s acclaimed \u2018The New Abnormal<\/a>\u2018. \u2018Reality Bites\u2019 will arrive on Friday June 26 via Cult Records\/RCA Records, and is available to pre-order here<\/a>. The album was recorded in Costa Rica with producer Rick Rubin<\/a> and finished in a number of international locations.<\/p>\n

Speaking about work on the album back in 2022, Rubin told The Joe Rogan Experience: \u201cWe rented this house up on the top of a mountain and set the band up outside. So they\u2019re playing\u2026 It\u2019s like they\u2019re doing a concert for the ocean, on the top of a mountain. It was incredible. And we did that every day, playing out in the [open], and they didn\u2019t want to leave. It was, like, the best experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Discussing the experience soon after<\/a>, guitarist Albert Hammond Jr.<\/a> said: \u201cI don\u2019t think if I told you what it looked like and what it was, you\u2019d fully understand the \u2018magical-ness\u2019 of where we were and how it was to record like that.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt really touching that one of his favourite recording experiences was this one he just had right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of the band\u2019s future, Hammond added: \u201cI really think what excites me about wanting to play music and continue doing it is, I don\u2019t think we\u2019ve written our best songs yet. I really feel that in my gut.\u201d<\/p>\n
