Pirelli has revealed that it will use the softest tyres in its range at the upcoming Miami and Canadian Grands Prix.<\/p>\n
This will see the use of the C3, C4 and C5 compounds across both race weekends.<\/p>\n
The Italian marque brought the softest options to the season-opening round in Australia before scaling back the choices for China and Australia, respectively.<\/p>\n
F1 is in the middle of a five-week break due to the cancellation of races in the Middle East, with Miami set to resume the campaign at the start of May.<\/p>\n
For the event around the Miami International Autodrome, which features very smooth asphalt, Pirelli outlined that degradation is predominantly thermal, due to the high temperatures in Florida.<\/p>\n
In Montreal, which will take place two weeks after Miami, Pirelli will once again use the softest range.<\/p>\n
Last year, Pirelli’s span of compounds extended to the C6 tyre, which was used in Canada before being dropped at the end of the season.<\/p>\n
