Some of South Australia\u2019s brightest cricketing stars have been immortalised in the prestigious Avenue of Honour at Adelaide Oval.<\/p>\n
Located on the western side of the iconic stadium, the Avenue of Honour celebrates the legends of the game, the men and women who have made outstanding contributions to South Australian and Australian cricket.<\/p>\n
South Australian speedster Darcie Brown has been inducted for a game-changing spell in 2018, where she took 5 for 21 for Australia against South Africa in a Test match.<\/p>\n
The incredible performance not only helped Australia limit South Africa to their lowest total of 76, but also wrote the then 20-year-old into the record books, becoming the first South Australian woman to take a five-wicket haul in a Test match.\u00a0<\/p>\n
South Australia\u2019s men\u2019s squad has also been recognised in the Avenue of Honour for winning the inaugural Dean Jones Trophy in the One-Day Cup and Sheffield Shield across 2024\/25.<\/p>\n
Led by coach Ryan Harris and captain Nathan McSweeney, the squad became only the 12th team in history to achieve the remarkable domestic double in the same season.<\/p>\n
