Rodriguez will write, direct and produce the title.<\/p>\n<p>The studio says the film will blend \u201choliday themes with a modern, next-generation approach\u201d.  It will mark Rodriguez\u2019s first animated feature.<\/p>\n<p>Rodriguez has shared some of the details of the characters on social media, adding that \u201cway back in the day I was a cartoonist before I became a filmmaker\u201d and calling this a \u201creturn to one of my first loves\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>No production timeline has been set out.
