Shock jock Kyle Sandilands is reportedly open to settling his multimillion-dollar wrongful dismissal lawsuit with his former employers ARN.<\/p>\n

Sandilands was sacked by the company for \u201cserious misconduct\u201d after an on-air clash with his co-host Jackie \u2018O\u2019 Henderson on February 20.<\/p>\n

The controversial radio host denies he engaged in serious misconduct and is suing the radio network, seeking a payout of the rest of his $100 million contract.<\/p>\n

Henderson is also suing ARN for what she claims is $85 million in earnings still owed to her.<\/p>\n

Sandilands has reportedly even considered buying the embattled network, after the value of its shares plummeted following the cancellation of the Kyle and Jackie O Show and the subsequent lawsuits.<\/p>\n

But in a remarkable turnaround, a source told News.com.au<\/a> on Tuesday that \u2018King Kyle\u2019 would consider settling if the offer was reasonable.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf there was a reasonable figure that made him feel like he didn\u2019t get totally f…ed over \u2026 yeah,\u201d the source said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is a righteous guy, and he could just go, \u2018Let\u2019s take this to the end\u2019, but no one loves the idea of court.\u201d<\/p>\n

A settlement would be an incredible twist in the legal saga, with Kyle repeatedly talking tough and hitting out at his former bosses for their treatment of him.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet me tell you what actually happened here,\u201d Sandilands said in a statement on March 3.<\/p>\n

\u201cJackie and I had a blue on air. That\u2019s it. The kind of thing we\u2019ve done a hundred times in 25 years. And ARN took the situation and decided to try and burn the place down.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey sacked Jackie. They suspended me. They wouldn\u2019t even let me pick up the phone to call her or anyone else on the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen \u2014 and this is the bit that gets me \u2014 once they\u2019d made it impossible for the show to go on, they turn around and say, \u2018You didn\u2019t fix it. You\u2019re fired\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sandilands said during the two week period of his suspension, he had done \u201ceverything ARN asked\u201d, and offered to go back on air, to work with Henderson or to work with someone else, and had been rebuffed.<\/p>\n

\u201cARN knew exactly what they were getting when they signed my deal. They\u2019ve worked with me for over a decade. They knew how I work, they knew the show, and they were happy to pay for it \u2014 because I delivered\u201d.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the source also claimed<\/a> Kyle was not interested in hearing \u201cunflattering\u201d claims as part of the court process.<\/p>\n

\u201cKyle and Jackie are playing with their own money here,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n

Both Sandilands and Henderson are expected to appear in the Federal Court before Justice Angus Stewart in separate case management hearings on Friday, April 24.<\/p>\n
